The bar graph above clearly demonstrates the enormous increase of private cars during the past 5 years in our country. To be precise, the number of private cars in 2019 was 207 million compared to about 127 million in 2015, with a dramatic increase of 80 million.
Several primary factors could contribute to this phenomenon.To begin with, with the rapid economic development of China,people's living standard has been improved a lot, so an increasing number off amilies begin to pursue a more comfortable and convenient way of getting around and more people are able to afford a car. In the second place, with the development of automobile industry, and the increasingly fierce market competition, the cost of buying a car is getting lower and lower. Therefore consumers have more chance to own a car. In addition,as we all know, private cars have greatly facilitated people's life and work. It can reduce the time that would have been wasted on the road, and it makes family outing easier.
Taking all these into consideration, we may predict that the number of private cars shall continue to rise steadily in the short term, but while enjoying the convenience，we have to actively cope with problems of traffic jam energy consumption and environment pollution that brought by private cars.
