Dear Sir or Madam,
I recently learned that you are about to hold a forum on how to foster critical thinking. As the theme relates to my study in the field of pedagogy and my personal education experience, I am writing to express my sincere desire to deliver a speech in the forum.
In my speech, I will contend that critical thinking should be incorporated into the school curriculum as a core component. In the past, when there was no internet, huge emphasis was laid on memorization in education. This must change now that the internet has enabled us to store and extract information freely. today, education should rather be dedicated to training students to effectively use the internet as a tool and critique the information they get from it.
